GO Transit station attains LEED certification

The rehabilitated building, now with a number of passenger amenities and eco-friendly features, including 60% savings in annual energy consumption, is the first LEED certification for a passenger station building in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

TOD tips offered by U. of Minn. report

A key finding revealed a pent-up demand for transit access in the Twin Cities metropolitan region. Suggestions for encouraging TOD included fostering collaboration between groups that already have shown an interest in transit-accessible locations.

TriMet to open naming of light rail bridge to public

Will start the process on September 5 and include two phases of public input. This will mark the first time in the region’s history the public will have the opportunity to suggest names for the first new bridge over the Willamette River in more than 40 years, according to the transit agency.
