Northern Calif. to vote on one-cent sales tax for transit

Passage of Measure B1 by a two-thirds majority would make Alameda the first county in Northern California to increase its transportation sales tax from a half-cent.

Northern California debuts 'hip hop' voter bus

AC Transit and Alameda County are setting out to register as many voters as possible, using a voter registration bus with an eye-catching design. The bus will travel throughout the county to make registering to vote for the November election as easy as possible.
