UVa recognized for bike friendliness

Has installed public bicycle maintenance stations, added bicycle racks to university transit buses, worked with the city to create bicycle lanes on streets around the university and has held maintenance workshops.

S.F. MTA, bike group partner on safety initiative

Working with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition to increase the visibility and safety of people riding bicycles at night by installing bicycle lights and handing out safety information as part of their annual “Light up the Night” campaign, which coincides with the end of Daylight Saving Time.

U. of Mich. launches bike share program

The school says the rental program is a response to requests to make the campus more bike-friendly. Bicycles come with a helmet and a lock.
