Bus drivers were blindfolded before having to board their own vehicle and buy a ticket as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the barriers faced by visually impaired or blind passengers.

Farecard vending machines planned for installation at every Metro rail station have no audio feature, which will make them difficult, if not impossible to use for riders who are blind, have impaired vision or cognitive impairments.
