The “cab car” of each train will be marked with graphics inside and out that designate it as the location for free customer Wi-Fi access.

Minn.'s Northstar ridership passes 33,000 in 15 days

Metro Transit said it has has leased a locomotive from the Utah Transit Authority. The locomotive, which will be the sixth in the Northstar fleet, currently is en route to the Big Lake, Minn., maintenance base. It will enhance long-term service reliability and ease maintenance pressures.

1,207 customers board Minn. Northstar on first day

Assuming morning riders return home this afternoon, first-day totals will reach 2,414 rides, 70 percent of average weekday ridership expected during the first year.
