Tampa, Fla. streetcar plan delays city subsidies

Transit planners revised the long-term financial plan, with service maintained at its current level until 2020. Plan projects a required subsidy of $168,000 beginning in 2020.

Calif. high-speed rail to cost $98B

The new project business plan shows that the project costs over a 20-year construction period will be much higher than the initially projected $43 billion. However, it is forecast to be profitable even with low ridership numbers and would not require public operating subsidies.
