BYD, Wash. transit to pilot electric bus service

Spokane Transit is participating in a statewide evaluation of one of the manufacturer’s all-electric buses. The zero-emissions bus debuted on Friday and will run on several routes throughout March.

Long Beach Transit to buy BYD all-electric buses

Board of directors voted to award a $12.1 million contract to purchase 10 all-electric buses and charging equipment to BYD Motors Inc. a U.S. subsidiary of BYD Co. Ltd., a Chinese firm. The contract is funded mainly with a federal TIGGER grant.
