Cobb County to break ground on $4.4M paratransit facility

The move follows a decision in July 2011 to cut three CCT routes to help close a $31 million budget shortfall. Transit officials said the building of the facility will use federal dollars and not money from county taxpayers.

Stabbed Ga. bus driver suspended

The driver was trying to break up an altercation between two passengers over a cell phone when one passenger, who had a knife taken away from other passengers, pulled a pen from the drivers' shirt pocket and stabbed him.

Cuts to Ga. paratransit strand hundreds of riders

Cobb County commissioners approved the elimination of three Cobb Community Transit bus routes and associated paratransit lines to help fill a $27 million budget gap. The cuts will likely affect 463 paratransit riders.
