The Commuter Coaches feature 57 comfortable forward-facing seats by Amaya, a Braun wheelchair lift, overhead airflow controls, LED interior lighting including reading lights, and other comforts designed to attract suburban and other distance commuters.

Callen Hotard, president, and his wife Coleen, vice president, have worked hard to raise industry standards in the Gulf Coast region. LADOT's 84 new, 40-foot, CNG-powered Commuter Coaches are ideal for serving the agency’s upscale Commuter Express routes.

The CNG-powered 40-foot coaches will be the first MCI models in the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation’s fleet. Each coach will be wheelchair-lift equipped and feature MCI’s Cummins ISL G 8.9 liter, 320hp engine, which meets 2010 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California’s California Air Resource Board (CARB) standards.

Two Minneapolis area transit agencies have added a total of eight Commuter Coaches. Houston-based Continental Bus Lines received its first new motorcoach, a J4500.

Tour will demonstrate the benefits of CNG to transit executives nationwide. The manufacturer is borrowing the coach from longtime customer NJ Transit. The touring model comes complete with a new Cummins CNG-powered engine.
