Powered 100% by sunlight, the kiosks draw no power from the electrical grid and can remain active for 10 days without needing to be recharged by the sun.

The 'On the Go!' travel stations have been offering customers information about their entire trip, from planning with Trip Planner+, real-time service status, escalator and elevator status, and local neighborhood maps.

Champaign-Urbana MTD installs U. of Illinois kiosks

Five information kiosks, displaying scheduled bus arrivals, anticipated wait times and re-routes, are currently in operation along routes on campus. The transit district will eventually install 22 kiosks.
