CapMetro implements new labor structure

Following a competitive procurement process, McDonald Transit was selected to assume responsibility for the fixed-route bus operations and maintenance, formerly provided by StarTran Inc. MV Transportation was selected to assume the MetroAccess operations.

Investment in public transit tends to be more labor-intensive than highway projects because the work is generally more complex, involves the purchase and maintenance of vehicles, and requires much less spending on land acquisition.
