Royal Star Hawaii’s new J4500s feature wheelchair lifts, lavatories, and A/V systems and will be used primarily for island tours and transfers. The operator will eventually receive a total of six J4500s.

The newest J4500 features 2013-EPA engines for more fuel economy and a redesigned parcel rack for more passenger headroom. The Setra S 417 now offers an optional second door and club corner lounge seating, as well as front collision guard, cornering lights and rain/light sensors.

Roberts Hawaii’s newest J4500 coaches feature a redesign, which includes stylish LED headlights and a heightened presence for more curb appeal on the outside, while on the inside, passengers still enjoy the easy-to-board spiral entryway and tiered theater seating.

At Marketplace, two ABA member motorcoach companies, Coach USA, the parent company of Megabus.com, and H&L Charters, won the ABA’s “Green Operator Award,” sponsored by MCI. Meanwhile, Mary Young, owner of Capitol Tours in West Columbia, S.C., won the first ever “ABA Media Women in Buses Award.”
