Students from University of Minnesota Twin Cities, University of Minnesota Duluth and Macalester College held a rolling press conference in support of the proposed Northern Lights Express project. Preliminary engineering is set to start in early 2013.

Funds will help the the Minnesota Department of Transportation complete preliminary engineering and environmental reviews for the 155-mile Northern Lights high-speed rail project between Minneapolis and Duluth.
