Amtrak, VIA Rail partner to add seats for Thanksgiving travel

VIA Rail is providing 10 coach cars and two dome cars on the New York state-supported Adirondack service operating between Albany-Rensselaer and Montreal. This will allow some Amtrak equipment used on that route to be reassigned, adding about 300 seats to trains operating on the Northeast Corridor.

Chicago Transit to offer fare passes on Groupon

Groupon will purchase a total of 250,000 3-Day passes for $1.882 million. Each pass will be sold for $7.53 wholesale and offered to Groupon members for $9 instead of $14, the current price of a 3-Day pass.
