San Antonio’s VIA taps new CEO

Jeffrey Arndt has been VIA’s interim president/CEO since the previous holder of the position, Keith Parker, left last November to head up the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Arndt came to San Antonio from Houston where he worked for 25 years at the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County.

Hampton Roads Transit taps new President/CEO

William E. Harrell has served as Chesapeake's city manager since June 2007 and is credited with helping the city reduce spending while sustaining core services without an increase in taxes or fees.

Houston Metro names Greanias president/CEO

Greanias will oversee an agency with 3,500 employees and about a $1 billion annual budget. Metro is working to complete the build out of five new light-rail lines, approved by voters in a 2003 referendum.
