Completed the first year of work on the Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension Project.

The 45-mile extension of FrontRunner doubles the length of the line when combined with FrontRunner North, which began operating between Ogden and Salt Lake City in 2008.

The extension, which will connect Irving, Texas, with Dallas Fort Worth Airport, is part of a long-term effort to create a 90-mile light rail network by 2014 to serve the Dallas metropolitan area.

The Clipper Card fare payment system will be used once the Warm Springs Extension opens in 2015.
