Cedar Rapids, Iowa’s Linn County LIFTS upgraded its fleet of 22 vehicles with RouteMatch Software's tablet technology, replacing its aging mobile data computers.

Department hopes to help regional rural transit agencies improve operational efficiencies and ridership service by optimizing route scheduling and standardizing reporting across the state.

The upgrade has positioned the agency to achieve hoped-for improvements in productivity and customer service while also establishing a reliable foundation for monitoring vehicle efficiencies.

Product combines real street network data, real-time GPS information and predictive analysis algorithms to pull, convert and push real-time information to riders.

The statewide contract will allow rural and small-urban transportation providers to improve their efficiency and productivity by using RouteMatch's technology for fixed-route and demand-response routing, scheduling, dispatching and vehicle tracking.

The company will be converting OCTA from an outdated passenger transportation management software system that they have been using for 10 years to RouteMatch TS transit management software.

Smaller agencies will receive technology first, which will include software for automated routing, scheduling and coordination.

Boone County Senior Services Inc., d/b/a Boone County Transit coordinated a procurement on behalf of 13 non-urbanized area transit systems in the State of Indiana that have received grant funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

The paratransit management system is designed to streamline operations and create improved schedules and routes, allowing the operation to be more efficient with its resources.
