Atlanta transit plans still under way despite setback

City officials are considering alternate funding for a rail line along the Beltline and other projects after the failure of a transit referendum over the summer.

Atlanta county hopes to join MARTA

The county’s bus service, C-Tran, would have been funded had the so-called T-SPLOST referendum been passed by voters in July. The agency ceased operations in 2010 after commissioners voted against funding the service.
