Utah commission contributes funds to transit study

The Davis County Commission agreed to put $7,500 toward the South Davis County Alternatives Analysis. The study will look at creating a regional public transit plan between Davis and Salt Lake City.

Mich. study supports county transit network

Transit advocates and local leaders are taking a second look at a transportation study that urged a county-wide transit system. The study also found a great need among Kent County residents outside the area served by The Rapid, especially among people with disabilities and the elderly.

A proposed task force, funded in part by the University, will study the community’s transit and traffic needs and the effects of the University’s proposed Arts and Transit Neighborhood and other pending developments.
