A transportation expert and a university professor are looking to leverage Las Vegas’ potential as a high-speed rail transportation hub to develop a university program dedicated to researching high-speed rail.

The $3.5M project will create a 150-acre mixed-use development on the U. of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, and accommodate a multimodal transit center, 40,000-seat football stadium, retail shops, restaurants and student and faculty residences.
