Wash. senators sponsor bill to stop light rail

It would prevent the Columbia River Crossing project from going forward if it includes a light rail component. The state has yet to come up with the funds for light rail operation and maintenance.

Amtrak service from Seattle to Vancouver to continue

The train began as a pilot project in 2009 in preparation for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, but with CBSA reluctant to pay the extra cost of border clearance services late into the night, the service was in limbo.
