SEATTLE — To make way for its light rail extension, Sound Transit will pay the University of Washington (UW) $43 million to move research labs and offices currently housed in several buildings on campus, The Daily reported.

When the Northgate Link Extension opens in 2021, the UW campus will be served by two Sound Transit light rail stations with trains running north to Northgate and south to SeaTac airport. The deal between the two parties concludes a year and a half of negotiations over the cost of relocating the buildings. For the full story, click here.
