ARLINGTON, Texas — It’s been nearly a year since Arlington launched its first ever public transit service — and according to the latest numbers, it’s a success, NBCDFW.com reported.

City officials had initially hoped the Metro Arlington Xpress, which takes riders between the local university and a station near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, would provide an average of 250 trips per day each month. They’ve exceeded that goal every month this year, peaking in mid-June at more than 400 trips per day.
