NEWARK, N.J. — NJ Transit's head of bus operations is scheduled to be named interim executive director of the agency on Wednesday afternoon, NJ.com reports.
Dennis Martin, who has been praised for actions to improve conditions at the Port Authority bus terminal, will take the helm, pending a vote of NJ Transit's board at 1:30 p.m. His nomination was confirmed in the board agenda for the meeting, the report said.
Martin, a veteran of NJ Transit and the Port Authority, will replace Veronique Hakim, who resigned the post after she was appointed executive director of NYC Transit, according to NJ.com.
