TORONTO — GO Transit retired its mobile app in favor of its mobile website for smartphone users, the Toronto Star reports.

The app, developed in conjunction with the Digital Media Zone at Ryerson University, was launched in 2011 and had technical issues that couldn’t be resolved without “significant” work, according to Go Transit officials. The recently launched mobile website, unlike the app, is suitable for virtually every device. For the full story, click here.
