ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Beginning later this month, the City of Altamonte Springs will subsidize Uber rides under a first-of-its-kind one-year pilot project to boost SunRail ridership, help alleviate traffic congestion and better meet the transportation needs of the community, WESH reports.

Beginning March 21, the city will pay for 20% of all Uber trips that begin and end within city limits. In addition, to encourage SunRail use, the city will subsidize 25% of all trips starting or ending at the Altamonte Springs SunRail station. For the full story, click here.
