HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu is looking to develop a 15.1-mile electric bus network that would link the rail transit station at Ala Moana Center to Waikiki, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and surrounding areas, Pacific Business News reports.

The city’s Department of Transportation Services has requested federal funding to develop the network. The electric bus network would be independent of the light rail transit project currently being built and would include 18-high capacity electric buses. For the full story, click here.
