BREMERTON, WASH — Kitsap Transit is dealing with a bus driver shortage, which could mean cuts to some of its routes, Q13 reports.

The lack of operators means that when drivers go on vacation or are out sick some bus routes are impacted, causing the agency to shut some buses down and other routes have to pick up more people.

Kitsap Transit has already hired about 13 new drivers this year and they say more is needed, but getting people behind the wheel isn’t easy because they are competing in a strong economy. For the full story, click here.
