Transdev will begin paratransit operations for Atlanta’s Fulton County Department of Aging and Youth Services, expanding the scope of the company’s involvement in transportation networks in the city’s Metro region.

Service begins Jan. 1, 2017. The company will be responsible for all aspects of paratransit operations and maintenance, including reservation management, scheduling and dispatch, and maintaining the 51-vehicle fleet. Senior Transportation Services — the paratransit brand of Fulton County — provides 290,000 trips per year.

Fulton County is the latest addition to Transdev’s Atlanta Metro-area contracts, augmenting its contracted operations for Cobb County, Gwinnett County, the City of Atlanta, and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. Nationally, Transdev operates successful brokerage and paratransit operations in San Francisco, Baltimore, Seattle, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and over 20 other locations.
