NEW YORK — Days after a woman fell to her death inside the World Trade Center Oculus transportation hub, officials are reviewing the safety of escalators inside the facility, The Jersey Journal reports.

Jenny Santos plunged from the C1 level escalator early Saturday morning as she was grabbing her twin sister's hat. She was brought to Bellevue Hospital and pronounced dead.

The $4 billion transportation hub opened last year. The escalator Santos is believed to have fallen from hovers three stories over the lower level's open space. Some believe the fatal fall was something that could have been avoided without any kind of additional guardrails or netting along the escalators, according to the report.
