President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to nominate Ronald L. Batory to be the Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration. Batory has more than 45 years of leadership in the railroad industry.
Most recently, he served as president/CEO of Conrail. He joined the company in 1998 as VP, operations, and was appointed president/CEO in 2004. He retired from Conrail earlier this year.
Prior to Conrail, Batory served as president of The Belt Railway Co. of Chicago. He spent more than 20 years working for both eastern and western Class I railroads in addition to assisting a court-appointed trustee's successful oversight of a regional railroad bankruptcy.
