Anchor Trailways celebrates 20 years, growth

Nashville, Tenn.-based Anchor Trailways & Tours is celebrating its 20th Anniversary and experiencing a growth in ridership and staff.

Anchor’s growth has enabled them to hire four new office staff members as well as two maintenance positions. It also expanded its fleet to 80, with the purchase of two new, clean diesel motorcoaches – a financial investment of approximately $800,000 to help become more green.

Over the past 20 years, Anchor has had an exemplary safety record and supports the community through charity work, such as its participation in a “Stuff-A-Bus” program this last holiday season. The operation also has made several strides to be more environmentally-friendly, including the recent purchase of new cleaner coaches and minimizing the amount of waste it releases into the ground.
