Gannett Fleming wins SunLine facility contract

SunLine Transit Agency chose Gannett Fleming, an international engineering, planning, design and construction management firm, to design and engineer a new SunLine facility in Thousand Palms, Calif.

The engineering and design contract is funded by Local Transit Funds and requires that the firm produce 35 percent plans for the new facilities. The plans will be used in the selection of a design-build contractor.

In keeping with SunLine’s commitment to expand on its green and clean environmental conscientious energy programs, plans for the new facility may include an expansion of its existing solar and renewable energy sources, using green construction materials.

Gannett Fleming was selected through the competitive Request for Qualification process.
