Mississauga, Ontario-based Espar received approval from the California Air Resource Board (CARB) for their large Hydronic M II series of heaters, which includes the Hydronic 8, 10 and 12; 27,300 BTU/hr, 32,450 BTU/hr and 42,000 BTU/hr.
These coolant heaters are ideal for larger applications like school bus, transit and motorcoach. The heaters meet the demands of school boards and state pupil transportation organizations across North America. Espar’s Independent Fuel Operated Heating Systems enable drivers to pre-heat their school buses without engine idling.
Espar was the first fuel-operated heater manufacturer to have their Airtronic D2 and D4 as well as their Hydronic 5 approved by the California Air Resource Board. They were then the first to have their larger Airtronic 5 (18,800 BTU/hr forced air heater) come into compliance and now are the only fuel operated heater manufacturer to have their larger 42,000 BTU/hr heater come into compliance.
