GIRO celebrates 30 years

GIRO Inc., a provider of software solutions for the public transportation and postal industries, announced that celebrations to mark its 30th anniversary have begun.

Since 1979, the company has established a strong national and international presence by developing specialized products that help customers to improve efficiency through streamlined scheduling and routing processes, analysis tools, and flexible tools for crew rostering.

“Our 30th anniversary is a significant achievement in the company’s history. Our successes over the years can be attributed to long-term customer relationships, dedicated and talented employees, and a strong R&D effort,” said Paul Hamelin, president of GIRO. “With all these elements in hand, we are ready for the future and will continue to explore new methods and opportunities to help our customers improve public transit and postal operations.”

The company’s 30th anniversary celebrations will be marked by a combination of customer and employee events scheduled throughout 2009.
