Capitol Coachworks, a full service dealership offering commercial vehicle sales, service and financing in Washington, D.C., received the Krystal Enterprises “Krystal President’s Award” for meeting new commercial and government transportation requirements and delivering record numbers of limousines and buses.
This award is given annually to the single largest distributor of the Krystal product line and presented by Ed Grech, CEO.
Recent Coachworks deliveries include diesel-electric hybrid, medium duty buses with continuous HVAC operation while in engine off mode. These vehicles qualify as alternative fueled vehicles for tax incentives and comply with local and state legislation to limit idling and address air quality and noise concerns. New efforts in responsible transportation initiatives such as these are met by the Coachworks’ contracts for International 3200s chassis with the Eaton hybrid drive that range in seating capacity from 28 to 41 passengers. Also recently delivered was an all-wheel drive 28 passenger bus on the International 7300 chassis designed for off-road applications.
The carrier specializes in ADA-compliant, ramp equipped minivans and wheelchair lift-equipped vans and buses operated in the commercial sector. Offering driver training seminars for their specialized applications, Capitol Coachworks has demonstrated a history of perpetual product support. Recent contracting of full maintenance leases for government fleets has further differentiated Capitol Coachworks in today’s competitive market.
