Nova Bus' Plattsburgh plant now open

On Monday, Nova Bus opened its newest bus assembly plant, located in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

More than 200 Nova Bus colleagues were joined by other members of the community for the inauguration ceremony of the new 140,000 sq. ft. plant in Banker Road Industrial Park.

"We are proud to be able to serve the American public transit market, and we look forward to developing strong new partnerships with operators, as well as with the state of New York and the Plattsburgh community," said Nova Bus President/CEO Gilles Dion.

Operations have already begun, with the very first client bus expected to roll off the assembly line before the end of June and a 90-day ramp-up period is under way, to ensure a smooth transition into full-time operation to meet the demands of the plant's already full production schedule. The plant is equipped to assemble the entire line of LFS vehicles.
