During a ceremony at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) headquarters, GM Joseph Casey received the Corporate Health Achievement Award (CHAA) for SEPTA’s commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment for its employees.

 

Sponsored by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) in conjunction with GlaxoSmithKline, SEPTA was assessed in four categories: leadership and management; healthy workers; healthy environment and healthy organization.

 

ACOEM is a national organization of physicians and healthcare professionals who promote increased health and safety of people in the workplace and environment.

 

Past award recipients include the DaimlerChrysler Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb, GE Power Systems and International Business Machines (IBM).
