Ratp Dev acquires 2 bus companies

Ratp Dev, a subsidiary of RATP, signed agreements to acquire controlling interest in Mc Donald Transit Associates and The Fullington Auto Bus Co.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Mc Donald Transit Associates is the fourth largest public transit contract operator in the U.S., managing more than 3,000 employees and operating in 15 states where it provides operations and maintenance services to more than 25 public agencies.

The Fullington Auto Bus Co., founded in 1908, provides intercity coach, charter, tour and school bus services, operating mainly in the Northeast U.S. from its base near State College, Pa. It has more than 350 employees and owns approximately 250 vehicles.

Current management at both companies will continue to deal with day-to-day operations, with oversight and support from Ratp Dev.

Additionally, Ratp Dev has created a dedicated American subsidiary, Ratp Dev USA, to ensure a successful setup and development of its business in the U.S. The objective is to become a major player in all segments of public transportation, including rail.
