Denver RTD extends free military services

This week, the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) board of directors approved a resolution extending the allowance for active duty U.S. Military personnel to ride free on all RTD services, through December 31, 2010.

All active members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves are entitled to ride free on any RTD service including special services such as RTD's skyRide and BroncosRide.

To be eligible to ride for free, all active duty military personnel must either be wearing the appropriate Class A or Class B uniforms or present an active duty military ID card with the words "Geneva Convention Identification Card" on the bottom.
