Motor Coach Industries (MCI) announced it is making an end-of-the-year donation of $5,000 to the Motorcoach Council to demonstrate its gratitude to customers and help boost consumer perception of motorcoach travel.

"MCI decided to make this financial contribution at the holiday season to say 'thank you' to the efforts of the Motorcoach Council and all its members and to help jumpstart the 'Get Motorcoachified' campaign in the new year," said Patricia Ziska, MCI vice president/chief customer officer. "We're hopeful this gesture will encourage operators' full participation in this promising marketing campaign. From the council's creative wraps for coaches to MCI Service Parts' opt-in parts program, all the elements are there to assure the campaign's success. Now, it's up to everyone in the industry to do their part."

MCI, a founding member of the council, established a voluntary, opt-in program for customers to contribute one-half of one percent of their MCI Service Parts purchases. MCI has pledged to match the first $50,000 in customer contributions made through this program. Customers can access the opt-in registration form at www.mcicoach.com/AboutUs/getMotorcoachified.htm.
