The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will hold a board meeting on Jan. 21 at 9:30 a.m. in its Board Room and Conference Center, 429 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C., to consider a final report on the following investigation:

 

On Sept. 12, 2008, at approximately 4:22 pm (PDT), Metrolink commuter train 111 collided with a Union Pacific freight train near Chatsworth, Calif. As a result of the head-on accident, there were 25 fatalities and numerous injuries.
