GIRO supplies HASTUS to Stockholm Metro

GIRO announced the successful installation of its HASTUS scheduling software at Mass Transit Railway (MTR), operator of the Stockholm Metro system.

The installation completes the first phase of an aggressive implementation plan developed by GIRO and MTR to ensure smooth operations and efficient service when MTR officially began operating the metro on Nov. 2, 2009.

The HASTUS scheduling and operations software chosen by MTR includes the Vehicle, Crew, CrewOpt, Roster, and DailyCrew modules, as well as a payroll interface. The company is using the scheduling suite to build efficient timetables, vehicle schedules, and operator (crew) work duties, as well as prepare weekly and periodic crew assignments and manage day-to-day operations.

The HASTUS solution also provides flexible management tools and ensures interoperability with external applications such as payroll.

The next phase is currently underway and will be completed in April 2010, followed by installation of the SelfService module.
