Alex Lodde, founder and owner of MV Transportation Inc., announced that he plans to step down from his position as CEO, effective June 30, 2010.
Lodde has served as CEO since August 2008, following Jon Monson's appointment to Chairman of the Board of the company. Lodde's plan at the time of his appointment to CEO was to serve in the role for nine to 18 months or until a permanent replacement was hired.
The company is in the final stages of its search for its next CEO.
"While I will no longer be responsible for the daily operations, I will continue in my role as a protector of the company I love and believe in," said Lodde, who started the company in 1975 with wife Feysan. "I appreciate our team of dedicated transit professionals and the work they do every day to make a difference in people lives."
