Twenty percent more commuters are opting for a cleaner, greener alternative to driving alone this year by joining Club Ride Commuter Services, a free program of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC).

During the first quarter of 2010, 11 new employers brought commute options to employees by joining Club Ride Commuter Services, bringing the total number of partners to 254.

“Thanks to the dedication of our new employer partners, 2,300 commuters have registered for Club Ride's services already this year,” said RTC GM Jacob Snow. “There are now more than 20,000 commuters in the Club Ride database, and the program reduced 1.3 million miles from Southern Nevada roads in just three months.”

Employees at these companies and organizations can get discounted transit passes, preferential carpool parking, free ride matching services, guaranteed rides home in case of an unexpected event, and gift cards and prizes through the Club Ride Rewards incentive program.

Those who sign up to be members of Club Ride can also use their membership at various locations throughout Southern Nevada for special offers through Club Ride’s Merchant Discount Program.
