N.Y. MTA token booth clerk jobs temporarily saved

NEW YORK — Nearly 500 New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) token booth clerk jobs were saved after a Manhattan Supreme Court judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing the MTA from closing the dozens of booths and therefore, layoffs of the clerks. Union officials argued that the MTA  failed to follow legally required steps like holding additional public hearings, the New York Daily News reported. To read the full story, click here.
