CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System's (CATS) Lynx light rail service loses $300 a day from riders not paying fares, according to a charlotteobserver.com story. The transit agency is preparing a fare evasion report for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and plans to hire nine security gaurds to ride the trains seeking riders who do not purchase tickets.
