WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Post reports that as the board of directors begins to work on filling the permanent Metro general manager position vacated by John B. Catoe Jr. in April, board chairman Peter Benjamin said that the primary criteria is to find “somebody in the public sector who is an exceptional manager, administrator and communicator, and a leader," adding that transit experience is desired, but not critical.
