SAANICH, B.C. — After a rider protests a bus driver denying service to a person in a wheelchair, other disability advocates point out problems with B.C. Transit’s priority seating policy, according to a Saanich News report. While it places wheelchair users higher than stroller users in most cases, the agency’s public relations department responded that compliance with the policy is left to the discretion of the customer.
