AC Transit may enact severe cuts

SAN FRANCISCO — Caught in a battle with its largest labor union, the agency had planned to cut service by about 7 percent in August. However, the transit district pushed those reductions back after a judge prohibited the agency from imposing working conditions, designed to save $15.7 million, on its drivers and mechanics, SFGate reports.
